Jumia Nigeria reveals Online Marketplace for SMEs

Jumia Nigeria celebrates its 2nd year anniversary with massive growth and impact on the Nigerian economy. Over the past 2 years Jumia has been building an online platform that attempts to bridge the gap between consumers and access to products.

As part of their approach towards transforming the Nigerian retail space, Jumia introduced the marketplace, which started since their inception and has grown to become a veritable model that will shape retail in Nigeria.

According to the company, the Jumia marketplace offers Small and Medium scale businesses an opportunity to showcase their products online thereby reaching a larger & more targeted audience. It is not limited to businesses; it also brings on board individuals who run small businesses on the side and are looking to increase visibility.

“I run a home-based business and I must say joining the Jumia marketplace has really been helpful especially with increasing my sales. Jumia has offered my business more visibility,” said Kenneth Ubogu, Jumia Marketplace seller.
